Joseph R. Madison II

Joseph started his Urban Planning career in the City of Baltimore. In 2006, he served the City Department of Planning as a Planning Assistant.  In Maryland, he managed projects with the Baltimore City Department of Transportation, the Maryland Transit Administration, and the Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s Parking Management team. 

 

Mr. Madison has an interest in creating safe, effective, and efficient global opportunities. His range of experience includes streetscapes, public transit, parking, and land use. Currently, he is the Associate Director of Parking Operations at Kennesaw State University. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of over 16,000 spaces, and 5 parking decks on two campuses in the Metro Atlanta area.  In 2020, Joseph delivered his TEDx Talk “We Are the Neighbors, We Are The World” for the TEDx Marietta Square virtual event. In 2022, he delivered the message  “Measure, Manage Maintain, 3Ms to ensure continuity in your work groups” to the International Parking and Mobility Institute (IPMI).

 

Mr. Madison received a B.S. in Finance from Alabama A&M University in 2000. He studied City and Regional Planning at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, he is earning a Master’s of Business Administration at Kennesaw State University's Coles School of Business.

 

Random Facts: 

• In high school, he played the Baritone/Euphonium, Trombone, and Sousaphone. 

• A Member of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity 

• Member of Phi Beta Lambda
